Thank you to all of the generous donors that made Longshots a smashing success this year! Pat Long’s Longshots Portrait Photos started in 1998, and has raised nearly $100,000 for Berner charities through the years. This year Longshots was hard at work at the 2022 BMDCA National Specialty in Hampton VA, and raised a record-breaking $7,000 for Berner rescue activities funded by the BMD Charitable Foundation. With this tremendous support from the Berner community we will be able to help Berners that need to be rescued, healed and placed in loving forever homes. Thank you to Pat and all of her helpers for capturing the true spirits of our dogs in wonderful images that will be treasured forever!

Education Program
The Bernese Mountain Dog Charitable Foundation (BMDCF) Education Program is committed to financially supporting the dissemination of information about the purebred Bernese Mountain Dog to people within the Berner community and the public at large. The Education Program provides the opportunity for individuals and organizations to apply for funds to conduct programs, or to produce and distribute information about all facets of the breed whether in print or online. The Education Program itself does not participate in the creation of programs or published information. It does, however, reserve the right to screen the purpose and content of such information for its correctness.

The Process
Send an email to the Education Program Committee Chair (susan.harrison@bmdcf.org) that describes the project for which you are requesting funds and how much money you are requesting. Please identify your intended audience. If you are requesting support for printed or online material, please attach the copy you intend to publish. Requests for more than $250 will require Board approval. Your request will be immediately acknowledged by a committee member and will be processed as quickly at possible. You will be notified as soon as a decision is made.
